About this position

In Speck, we are constantly working with innovative technologies, to make our client’s products better. Our current team is consisted of multidisciplinary team members, and currently we’re adding new addition to our team – Machine Learning Engineer.

The focus of this position will be on designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models for various applications, with an emphasis on processing and analysing large datasets we’re working on. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust data pipelines, refine models for production, and enhance existing ML infrastructure.

As part of our ongoing collaboration with a client in the insurance industry, we will be discussing the specifics of the project, including its scope, objectives, and deliverables, as well as the details regarding the salary and compensation package, during the first call.

Core responsibilities

  • Designing and deploying machine learning models for production environments using Python and ML frameworks
  • Building and managing ETL pipelines, integrating models seamlessly into various applications
  • Optimising infrastructure for scalability, cost efficiency, and iterative improvement of models.
  • Working with data scientists, engineers, and third-party vendors on projects
  • Maintaining and improving existing ML infrastructure, implementing CI/CD processes for machine learning

Operational requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, model lifecycle management, and data science libraries and frameworks
  • Proficiency in Python, with experience in data science and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with AWS services like SageMaker, Lambda, EC2, and S3 is a plus
  • Experience in creating and managing ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and streaming data services.
  • Resourcefulness and creative problem mindset with a preference for minimal guidance in dynamic environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
