We are currently hiring an Cybersecurity Expert to help us with the upcoming projects. If you have experience with cyber security, you know your way with different security regulations, you can provide expertise and execution in the day-to-day operations related to threat research, triage, coordination and resolution, then we're expecting your application! About this position

You will be a pioneering member of our new service division, dedicated to cybersecurity for a varied client base. Your primary responsibilities will include working with different clients, providing education and your expertise on different security topics. You will also be instrumental in shaping the service offering, proposing new ideas, and contributing to the strategic direction of this division.

You will work directly with key stakeholders within the company, including leadership, sales, marketing and product management teams, to ensure development of our cybersecurity division. You will become an integral partner of Speck and will be the key person in making this new offering a success. Your experience and efforts will be highly rewarded.

Core responsibilities

  • Conducting security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks
  • Developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Performing penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
  • Monitoring security incidents and responding in a timely manner
  • Managing security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection
  • Providing security awareness training to staff members
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends
  • Collaborating with IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into IT projects
  • Investigating security breaches and implementing incident response procedures
  • Participating in security incident investigations and forensic analysis

Operational requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on areas such as risk management, compliance, incident response, and security operations
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
  • Ability to analyze complex security issues, identify trends and patterns, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience leading security projects, managing teams, and providing guidance to junior cybersecurity professionals
  • Ability to troubleshoot security incidents, assess risks, and develop effective solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Understanding of cybersecurity regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • Commitment to staying current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in cybersecurity through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units, to address security concerns and implement solutions

Bonus points for:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
  • Experience with cloud security, threat intelligence, and security analytics
