ABOUT YOUR ROLE

The main focus of this collaboration will be WordPress development – sometimes on e-commerce projects (WooCommerce), sometimes on developing plugins and maneuvering around different APIs, and sometimes on building headless solutions and custom themes. As a senior WordPress developer, you’ll work closely with the rest of the development team (backend and frontend developers), DevOps and database engineers, and the QA team. A project manager is also included in every collaboration, to organize tasks and help with the client communication.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of working experience in web development
• 3+ years of experience working with PHP
• 3+ years of experience in developing WordPress websites
• Excellent understanding of WordPress ecosystem (themes, plugins, administration, hosting, DNS management)
• Experience in working with e-commerce WordPress solutions (WooCommerce) and payment processing (Stripe, PayPal, others)
• Experience with WooCommerce API
• Experience in adjusting WordPress plugins
• Experience in adjusting WordPress themes
• Good understanding of relational databases
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent knowledge of English

Bonus points for:

• Experience in working with AWS, GC, Kinst and/or similar services
• Experience in working with visual builders (i.e. Divi, Elementor)

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development of different WordPress solutions
• Collaboration with developers, QA engineers, and a project manager
• Attending meetings with clients and making technical decisions and recommendations
• Debugging and bug fixing
• Sharing knowledge with other team members
