About this position

You will be working on the development of the GrowFlow platform, a dynamic software platform designed to support the legal cannabis industry in the U.S. GrowFlow offers innovative tools for both retail and wholesale operations.

As a Mid-Level Support Engineer, you’ll be in charge of providing exceptional technical support and maintenance for the GrowFlow retail point-of-sale web application. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operations and a fantastic user experience. You will not interface directly with our customers, but you will collaborate with our customer service team to help rapidly solve customer-facing issues.

  • Frontend: ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
  • Backend: NodeJS
  • Database: MongoDB powered by Parse Server

With features that include both point-of-sale systems, inventory tracking, compliance management, and advanced reporting, GrowFlow is trusted by cannabis businesses of all sizes to handle their day-to-day operations with ease. The platform integrates both software and hardware creating an all-around solution for customers.

GrowFlow’s marketplace connects cannabis businesses with a network of licensed buyers and sellers, streamlining the process of sourcing and distributing products within the industry.

Core responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues across the GrowFlow tech stack, getting at the root cause
  • Collaborate with development teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
  • Document solutions, processes, and troubleshooting guides for knowledge sharing
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize recurring issues
  • Assist in the implementation of minor enhancements and bug fixes to support evolving business needs
  • Work during normal US business hours to ensure availability for urgent support needs (3pm – 11pm CET)

Operational requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with React and web development
  • Strong understanding of ReactJS, NodeJS, HTML, and CSS for diagnosing issues
  • Experience working with a NoSQL database like MongoDB, including basic querying and troubleshooting, familiarity with Parse Server is a plus
  • Knowledge of software debugging tools and techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and end-users
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
  • Ability to work during normal US business hours (3pm – 11pm CET)

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira
  • Experience with supply-chain-related software or the wholesale industry
